CLIO, MI — The Clio Athletic Boosters are excited to announce the launch of the Clio Mustangs Queen of Hearts Progressive Raffle. This 16-week event offers community members a chance to win a growing jackpot while directly supporting Clio Mustangs Athletics.

The raffle kicks off on Wednesday, February 4, with drawings held every Wednesday at 7 pm at Black Horse Tavern on Saginaw St., in Clio. Tickets are priced at $2 each. If the winner’s ticket is drawn and they successfully find the Queen of Hearts on the official game board, they take home 50% of the progressive jackpot. If the Queen remains hidden, the pot rolls over to the following week, growing larger and more exciting.

"Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for our student-athletes," said Clio Athletic Boosters President Lindsay Carpenter. "Every ticket sold helps fund equipment, uniforms, and facilities for our Mustangs. We invite the entire Clio community to wear their Orange & Black, come out to the drawings, and help us make this a massive success."

Clio Athletic Boosters has set meeting dates for the 2025-26 school year and welcome interested parents, family and community members to participate at any meeting. 

Meeting are set to begin at 6 pm at Clio High School's Media Center. Meetings are typically the third Monday of each month - with January and February meeting dates on the second Monday due to the school holiday schedules. 

Changes may be made to this calendar at any time and will be posted on the clioathletics.org website calendar.

At its May meeting, the Clio Athletic Boosters elected board members for the 2025-26 season.

The group will be working to set dates for 25-26 Booster meeting dates, and planning on ways to continue to support all athletic teams. 

We're excited to announce we will be hosting our Free Physical and Registration Night on Thursday, August 8, 2024, in the CHS Main Gym from 4:00-7:00 pm!

This event is open exclusively to Clio students, and we are fortunate to be able to provide the first 150 physicals for our K-12 student-athletes free of charge. Clio High School Athletics and Clio Middle School staff will be on-site to collect physicals and payments for high school and middle school athletic fees. In addition, we will have assistance available at computer stations where students and their parents/guardians can complete the new electronic registration process.

We've created an online application for our All-State Wall, in hopes to make the process easier for our former athletes who received all-state honors to be recognized. You can find information on the All-State Wall and a link to the application on our All-State Wall page. 

Do you have a passion for the Clio community, its athletic programs, and student-athletes? If so, considering joining the Clio Athletic Boosters! 

We have been working diligently over the last several months to restructure our organization to better support our student-athletes and currently have two open positions to fill: High School Vice-President and Trustee. If you are interested in either position, or would like to volunteer in another capacity, please join us for our next meeting. We will be meet at Twin's Pizza at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
