The Mustangs started off the season, and their first game action in over two years, with a hard fought 4-4 tie against Bay City Western Thursday afternoon. There was solid play up and down the board against an evenly matched team that has turned into the Mustangs opening match the past few seasons.  Winning at singles were Makenzy Robart, Vanessa Collins, and Emily Yax.  Taking home the come from behind victory at 1 doubles was the team of Keli Saunders and Delaney Shaw. As with all spring sports, this team has been fighting adversity already, yet has rolled with the punches and has put the team first.  As the Mustangs continue to grow and find themselves after the lost 19-20 season, expectations are as high as ever for what this team can accomplish.  They next get to show what they have at the Lapeer Lightning Invitational this Saturday.
